From the top of Coquille Point in Bandon, Oregon, you get a vista of Bandon Beach in the early morning fog and the sturdy, long staircase leading down to the beach.
Unusual rock formations litter the water at Shore Acres State Park. Crashing waves during the winter season especially add to the drama. (This photo was made in the summer when the waves were more sedate.)
Black Pebble Beach located just below the Yaquina Head lighthouse. Seabirds rest on the rock formations. The city of Newport can be seen in the distance.
A few people walk along the beach in the early morning at low tide toward Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach. A layer of fog still sits along the beach while sunlight begins to peak through and light up the rock.
View from Ecola State Park looking south toward Cannon Beach. You can see Haystack Rock in the distance (middle-right side of the scene). Some morning fog still hovers along the beaches.
